Obama implies that because Trinity United Church of Christ has continually employed a senior pastor unable to control his anger, anti-Americanism, and conspiracy-theorizing during Barack’s 20 years at that church, that other predominantly African-American churches are afflicted with the same disease.

But is it really true that other black churches have loud, black preachers? It’s impossible to tell from CY’s seat at his “deliberately diverse church with a substantial African-American congregation and an African-American senior pastor,” especially amid all the “dancing, clapping, screaming and shouting,” but he wonders nonetheless:

Is it true that other predominately African-American congregations applaud when their pastor exhorts them to sing out “God damn America,” or is it more likely that most African-American churches focus on honoring the words of Jesus Christ as written in the Bible, and leave the responsibility of damnation to God?

Clearly, a CY Investigative Report™ is needed here. Bob should travel the country, visiting black churches and asking parishioners if they belong to “congregations that are pustules of anger, ignorance and intolerance.”

He could also ask questions like:

– Do you support race hustlers like Maxine Waters?

I mean, sure you realize that: You start off all like, “Welp, here’s Obama again with that thing of his, trying to make me feel like I’m part of a quote-unquote historic moment, and so forth.” But then you settle in and listen, and soon you’re like, “Wait a second. Washington founded Tuskegee Institute, which has educated several generations. George Washington Carver discovered scores of uses for the peanut which pulled generations of southern farmers out of the poverty cycle. Garrett A. Morgan invented the gas mask which saved countless lives during World War I. Thomas Sowell is arguably the most brilliant economist alive today.² He educated Clarence Thomas, one of the brightest minds on today’s supreme court.³

Not one of these five is held out as a role model for young blacks today.⁴ Not one was given a pass because of affirmative action or quotas. Not one was a protest leader. And not one of this group blamed “whitey” for the adverse circumstances in which they were educated.

Most likely all five on this list (certainly the two still living) would propose a solution for inferior black schools which Obama would quickly dismiss– vouchers and free market solutions rather than continuing to pump more and more tax money into the NEA sinkhole.

UPDATE: Wow. This is a pretty big interest rate cut:

The Federal Reserve, continuing an aggressive series of actions to try and right the struggling economy, cut a key short-term interest rate three-quarters of a point Tuesday for the sixth time in six months.

The central bank cut the federal funds rate, which is used as a benchmark for a wide variety of business and consumer loans, for the third time this year and the sixth time since the economy began to sputter last fall.

The move comes after a tumultuous week in the financial markets that has seen the Fed, under Chairman Ben Bernanke to inject itself in unprecedented fashion, helping to engineer a takeover of venerable Wall Street investment bank Bear Stearns, which collapsed under the weight of bad mortgage-related securities.

The problem with these sorts of steep rate cuts, of course, is that eventually the Fed will run out of bullets in its arsenal. The Treasury Department and Congress are going to have to do something as well. If ever there was a good time to impeach Bush to prevent him from further fouling things now, it would be now.

While both Obama and Clinton supporters came away impressed by Hussein Obama X’s speech this morning, I was rather disappointed. For instance, I thought that Hussein X could have spent far more time detailing his plans to truck all white people off to reparations camps where we’ll be forced to do lawn work for Mexican Reconquistadores and the Global Caliphate. But alas, he’s still trying to trick white people into thinking he’s not conspiring with the Mexicans and the Muslims to destroy us all.
