Porn Generation, Pt. 3: Rise of the TaliBen

Ben Shapiro spends most of Porn Generation angrily chastising his fellow Americans for being licentious, disease-ridden skanks. In Ben’s world, young people are all degenerates who watch porno and have premarital sex. Teachers are perverts for teaching kids about condoms. TV stars are corrupt miscreants who make their living off of mocking traditional morality. And rappers are the worst ones of all, since they have lots of sex and they write songs glorifying girls with gigantic asses.

Humorless and clueless

Mithras’ excellent Top 10 List, to which we linked last week, has made a few people upset. Amongst those upset was the crew at The Volokh Conspiracy:

But Mithras’s post was linked to favorably by many others, including Atrios. Let’s consider what Mithras writes about Michelle Malkin [funnies deleted]

That’s the humorless part. Now here comes the clueless:

Eric Muller wonders if Malkin gets “so much attention” from the right, precisely because she’s a nonwhite woman who defends Japanese internment, opposes immigrant rights [not sure exactly what he’s referring to] […] I don’t see anything any more remarkable about Malkin not being overly sympathetic to immigrants (if that’s true) [Emphasis added.]

Hellobonjour, the woman wrote In Defense of Fucking Internment! Wake up and smell the denial of due process!

Do we know the answer yet?

Michelle Malkin, November 19, 2002:

How many of Saddam Hussein’s sleeper terrorists are waiting dormant in the U.S. to retaliate against us when the War on Iraq begins?

“The Scoffers”

Now, I will pray you home along with a full church membership where I attend. All of you as of this night are on our prayer list. We are praying you home. […] Will you save your family? Will you save yourselves? […] Love, Marie Jon’

Ah yes, they laugh NOW…

From our own Sarah Jane Smith, today, in comments:

Please do not make light to of God’s appeal. God loves you. He is died for you. God does very much work in mysterious ways. You brought yourself to me. Why? Now, I will pray you home along with a full church membership where I attend. All of you as of this night are on our prayer list. We are praying you home.
[…] Love, Marie Jon’

So if anyone feels a touch displaced from the quotidian tomorrow…

Oh, that notion

That sure seems pretty radical. When wankers collide:

U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels said Dan Brown’s book exploring codes hidden in Leonardo Da Vinci’s artwork is not substantially similar to “Daughter of God,” by Lewis Perdue. […]

Perdue alleged that Brown copied the basic premise of “Daughter of God,” including notions that history is controlled by victors, not losers[.]

Well, looks like Perdue’s history has been written.

Just asking

So there are these ads up at Kos’s and a bunch of other places for the American Volleyball…um, “Party,” the beach volleyball association. (It might say somewhere on the AVP’s website what ‘AVP’ stands for, but I couldn’t find it amidst all the faux-accidental action shots of people’s butts.)

Now first of all, I’m aware that beach volleyball is an Olympic sport and so forth. But its success would seem to have less to do, ultimately, with the sandy playing surface that differentiates it from ordinary volleyball, than with the fact that the players are all bouncing around with barely any clothes on. Let’s just be grown-ups about that.

And mind you, if I had anything against nudity, I wouldn’t be sitting here naked except for a cowboy hat. It’s hot out, and I like cowboy hats.

But honestly, what in Sam Hill is up with this text?

God’s Plan to Implement the Flat Tax

A while back, World O’Crap wrote about the PEERS Biblical Worldview Test, a survey designed to determine if your worldview is sufficiently Biblical.

Well, the folks at the Christian Worldview Network have come up with a test of their own, and it has more than twice the questions of the PEERS test. Here’s how the CWN describes it:

Your worldview will be tested in the area of law, economics, civil government, religion, social issues, sociology (family issues) education and science. Your worldview will be rated for these eight areas as either: Strong Biblical Worldview Thinker, Moderate Biblical Worldview Thinker, Secular Humanist Worldview Thinker, Socialist Worldview Thinker or Communist/Marxist/Socialist/Secular Humanist Worldview Thinker. You will also receive an overall worldview score and rating.

Do we really need separate categories for Secular Humanism, Socialism and Communism/Marxism/Socialism/Secular Humanism? Couldn’t we just shorten the last one to “Satanicislamomaoist?” Or maybe just “Hillary?”

So much for that Eighth Commandment again.

“I think that the Democrats should reflect on what they themselves do that is corrupt and recognize that they are desperately trying to transfer their evil deeds to the Republican Party.”

From Marie Jon’s new column at PeoplePolitical.org

An old proverb says, “You are not what you think you are, but you are what you think.” The statement is not merely an ancient proverb, but it is also a Bible truth. The Bible states that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

[…]

Satan attacks all of us in many ways, but perhaps his most vigorous assault is brought to bear upon our thoughts. What we think eventually makes us what we are. Our thoughts often lead to actions — and so the battleground is within our thoughts. Each of us is responsible for what we welcome into our mind.

From ‘A Call to Thought Purity,’ by Harold S. Martin (1892-1961)

An older proverb says, “You are not what you think you are, but you are what you think.” The statement is not merely an ancient proverb, but it is also a Bible truth. The Bible states that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

Satan attacks all of us in many ways, but perhaps his most vigorous assault is brought to bear upon our thought lives. Satan knows that what we think, eventually makes us what we are. He knows that our thoughts often lead to actions — and so he works on our thought lives. Each of us is responsible for what he welcomes into his mind.

Renew America Crapstravaganza!

Alan Keyes has again upped the PCP content in Renew America’s water coolers. Let’s survey the damage.

First, here’s Judie Brown, who’s penned a real beaut about abortion statistics:

Numb numbers

Judie Brown

As a society, we love to count things.

Quite an insight. Counting is truly a key component of our success as a nation. Indeed, what’s held Eastern societies back all these years has been their failure to develop a number system.
