Coach Dave has posted a new column! Rockin’! Let’s read it:

Hate Thought
I grew up prejudiced. I’m not ashamed to admit it. My dad was a country boy, and my mom was raised much the same. I don’t know if either of them ever personally knew a black person. My dad was always telling us “black jokes, subtlety explaining that they were inferior, even though he had no first-hand information.
“It’s only right to call blacks inferior if you’ve carefully studied them, just like that Charles Murray fella with his book For Whom the Bell Curves.”
I’ll never forget the first time I ever saw Dad interact with a black man. I was about ten and we were fishing in a public lake. There were a few “Negroesâ€? (that’s what we called them outside our home–the nice version of what Dad called them in our home) fishing near us and they noticed that we were catching a lot more fish than they were.
“‘See?’ my daddy said. ‘Told ya they couldn’t do nothin’ right.'”

Sonic, of HitchensWatch fame, asks the $64,000 question:
What is increasingly interesting about Pammy is how this, clearly insane, woman is getting the access she is getting.
She gets flown to Israel and manages to enter closed military areas in wartime, and now she gets an exclusive interview with John Bolton.
Who is backing her?

The short answer is Charles Johnson and Roger El-Simon. But the long answer, I suspect, is very interesting. I assume it’s the same bunch that probably helped arrange Michael Totten’s voyages to Iraq and Lebanon. But then Totten’s just a self-aggrandizing asshole and intellectual fraud, while Pammy (wingnut starfucker wannabe that she is), on the other hand, links to and may have further connections with outlawed terrorist groups. I wonder if she’s offered to introduce John Bolton to her Kahanneist friends, assuming of course that they haven’t met already.

“Tim Blair” (which is Australian for “dumbfuck”) accuses Lindsay of anti-semitism for reading Günter Grass.
Perhaps now, through Pajamas Media osmosis, she’ll be added to the list of self-loathers. Man, for the second time in as many days, I’m forced to ask Abe Foxman to clarify what he meant with his condemnation of the trivalization of historical Jewish suffering.
If you accuse people of anti-semitism just because they admire art created by a Nazi conscript (and not, pointedly and emphatically, anti-semitic art), what do you have left to call a real anti-semite?
Well you certainly don’t call them “born-again Christians” — because they are 100 percent supportive of Israel and Dear Leader, which is what really counts, no matter that they think Jews are Christ-killers; therefore, for wingnuts, real anti-semitism is excused on the grounds of political necessity, but bullshit “anti-semitism” is played up as a smear. Wingnuts don’t give a shit about real anti-semitism; this Grass thing is just something else for them to use, especially against Leftwing Jews, whom they consider traitors.
But TBOGG is right, too: this is also about philistinism.

Holy fucking shit. Paging David Neiwert and the SPLC.

Pammy has been a very nauwwwwty girl. Brad caught her in a batshit tantrum over the Ceasefire Resolution. Then she reiterated her belief that Olmert and Condi stabbed Israel in the back. So then, presumably after a post-ragegasm ciggy, she accuses Google of “Jew-hate”.
Yeah — yawn — I know: She accuses everyone not a flaming wingnut of “Jew-hate” (and what was Abe Foxman saying about the trivialization of anti-Semitism?*). Anyway, in her post is this passage:
Google, owned by your typical, lefty, Jew hating, Chompskyesque Jews censors Obsession?
I draw your attention to that second link. Click on it. You will be “rewarded” with what is basically the Michigan Militia of Judaism. Really. The “shit list” is a very very long list of Jews the proprietors of the site consider race-traitors. I’m not exaggerating. When I read it, my first thought was, “Fuck. This is the Fred Phelps of Judaism. Was Meir Kahane‘s consciousness uploaded into a computer before he died as he had lived (by terrorism)?”
And sure enough when I clicked on the main page, at the top was this:
ISRAEL 101: A SURVIVAL KIT FOR DUMMIES
THE VOICE OF REALITY
“In every generation, there are always a few who understand.
Always understand… even if you remain among the few.” Rabbi Meir Kahane
Folks, this is a hate site, absolutely the moral equivalent to some fucking awful Militia/Turner Diaries type site.

Shorter Kathleen Parker: A majority of Connecticut Democrats are like Stalin for choosing a candidate who reflects their own values, instead of Joe Lieberman’s.
Neerp. I’m off to the bar.
Seb adds: Why not keep it simpler and make it: Shorter KP: Michael Moore is fat.

So it appears the leader of Hezbollah has agreed to a ceasefire resolution. You can tell this is genuinely good news because Pam is P-I-S-S-E-D about it. We’re talkin’ whole paragraphs written in all CAPS and bold:

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE U.S. WOULD AGREE TO A CEASEFIRE RESOLUTION. WHY WOULD THE U.S. GIVE IRAN MORE TIME TO REARM THEIR FOREIGN LEGIONS?
IT IS NO SURPRISE TO ME THAT IT WILL BE THE STATE DEPARTMENT INFECTED CONDI NOT BOLTON CASTING THE VOTE FOR THE UNITED STATES. […]
A CEASEFIRE IS WRONG WRONG WRONG. OUR ONLY HOPE IS HEZB’ALLAH WILL REFUSE AND SAVE THE FREE WORLD FROM OURSELVES (like Yasser Arafatbastard saved Jerusalem for the Jews by refusing it when Barak offered it in the Cliton White house.) […]
DO NOT PASS THE RESOLUTION! Why is Abu Dana (Olmert) agreeing to the resolution?
MAYBE BECAUSE HE’S NOT A GENOCIDAL CRACKPOT LIKE YOU, PAM!!!

He’s lazy and he doesn’t blog often enough, but The Editors always makes up for small quantity with high quality:
Joe himself is now calling himself an “independent Democratâ€? – which I think is something like an “agnostic Baptistâ€? – presumably in order to glom off some of that Lyndon LaRouche mojo. Watch your back, Queenie!

When this David Gelernter column was posted, I started to write a destruction of it (I’d found some similar pieces in the WingNet; thought it was a trend), then lost interest and forgot about it; left it to collect mold in the back of Sadly, No!’s Frigidaire.
Now I see that Alterman noticed it, too, putting it into context better than I ever could:
Things can become a little confusing when the same neocons who insist it is ipso facto anti-Semitic to ask what role Israel plays in their calculations instruct American Jews that they are paying too much attention to their own country’s best interests and not enough to Israel’s. Writing in–of all places–The Weekly Standard, David Gelernter attacks American Jews for their “self-destructive nihilism” in remaining “fervent supporters of an American left that is increasingly unable or unwilling to say why Israel must exist.” (This is nonsense about the vast majority of the left, of course, but ignore that for a moment.) Gelernter argues that “grassroots Democrats are increasingly dangerous to the Jewish state (not to mention the American state).” Note that the question of the “American state” is literally a mere parenthetical to Gelernter’s principal concern–the well-being of Israel. Over at National Review’s “The Corner,” Mona Charen can be found making the same sneering argument. She calls American Jews “stubborn and downright stupid” because they “despise George W. Bush and will donate time and money to any Democrat in 2008, while Bush is indisputably the most pro-Israel president in the history of the United States.” Again, it’s highly “disputable,” but never mind that. More to the point is the fact that Bush’s presidency–a complete and utter failure by virtually any empirical measurement–is also deemed irrelevant. It’s Israel alone that matters, according to these anti-American conservatives. (And woe unto American Jews when Christian America starts paying attention to their unpatriotic perfidy.)

Oh this is rich:
Democrats assailed the Republicans Friday for e-mailing a fundraising appeal mentioning the war on terror hours after British authorities disclosed they had disrupted a plot to blow up aircraft headed to the United States.
“In the middle of a war on terror, we need to remain focused on furthering Republican ideas more than ever before,” former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said in a letter that asked for donations to the Republican National Committee.
“There is no task more important after a thwarted terror attack than giving Paris Hilton a tax cut.”
