There is the possibility that this story will not be well received by the some major news media. [Name redacted]’s evidence has been checked by many people to be accurate.

If he carries through and outs one of the kids tomorrow, everyone’ll know who he is and what his blog is called. We don’t have to help, though.

John Cole sent me the following message tonight which made me laugh my ass off:

That’s some funny shite right there. If someone like John, who used to be as devout a right-winger as you could find, feels this way, then the GOP is toast in November.

It’s true. Kissinger’s back:

Woodward recorded his on-the-record interview with Cheney, and here’s what the vice president said about Henry Kissinger’s clout: “Of the outside people that I talk to in this job I probably talk to Henry Kissinger more than just about anybody else. He just comes by and I guess at least once a month,” Cheney tells Woodward. “I sit down with him.”

Asked whether the president also meets with Kissinger, Cheney told Woodward, “Yes. Absolutely.”

The vice president also acknowledged that President Bush is a big fan of Kissinger.

“Now, what’s Kissinger’s advice? In Iraq, he declared very simply:
‘Victory is the only meaningful exit strategy.’ This is so fascinating. Kissinger’s fighting the Vietnam War again. Because in his view the problem in Vietnam was we lost our will. That we didn’t stick to it,” Woodward says.

He says Kissinger is telling the president to stick to it, stay the course. “It’s right out of the Kissinger playbook,” Woodward says.”

But the proof of this is not just in Cheney’s recorded voice or by Woodward’s testimony. There’s other evidence that points to Dr. Death’s fingers being all over deep inside the planning and execution of the Iraq War.

The Washington Post brings us today’s good news:

Republican strategists said yesterday that public revulsion over the sexually graphic online conversations between Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) and former House pages could compound the party’s problems enough to tip the House to the Democrats in November — and could jeopardize the party’s hold on the Senate as well.

That made my nipples get wicked hahd right there. Let’s continue:

As House GOP leaders defended their role in handling revelations that forced Foley on Friday to give up his House seat, party strategists said the scandal threatens to depress turnout among Christian conservatives and could hamper efforts to convince undecided and swing voters that Republicans deserve to remain in the majority.

I’ve never been a “Netroots” kinda guy, mostly because I’m far too cynical to believe that I can ever do anything to make a positive change in the world. But this latest poll has me thinkin’ otherwise:

Five weeks out from the midterm elections, MSNBC/McClatchy polls, conducted by Mason-Dixon in eight states, show Democrats are in striking distance of taking control of the Senate. The Democrats are very likely to gain several Senate seats with some races still rated as toss-ups.

This is a very, very good thing. If we take the Senate, it means we’ll be able to block the next John Roberts or Sam Alito from coming down the pike. Dubya’s dream of overloading the Supreme Court with Unitary Executive-lovin’ wingnuts will officially be t-o-a-s-t. Now, let’s get into some of the details:

In Pennsylvania, incumbent Sen. Rick Santorum is well behind his challenger Bob Casey, with Casey currently ahead by 9 percentage points, 49 percent to 40 percent, with 10percent undecided. […]

In Virginia, incumbent Republican Sen. George Allen, whose campaign has recently been plagued with public gaffes and charges of the candidate as racist, and his Democratic opponent, Jim Webb, are tied with 43 percent each and 12 percent undecided.

Again, this is a good thing. There are no two Senators I’d like to see thrown out on their asses more than Ricky “Man-on-Dog-Sex” Santorum and George Felix Allen. Now, barring some Diebold-related miracle, Bob Casey is going to cruise to election day and humiliate Little Ricky. But Jim Webb, the ass-whuppin’ ex-Marine who is running against wannabe redneck George Felix Allen, needs our help.

As I’m sure you all know by now, Florida Republican Congressman Mark Foley has resigned in disgrace after the press got ahold of several sexually suggestive e-mails he’d sent to a 16-year-old page. While this development is shocking in its own right, sources close to Sadly, No! have sent us a series of even more shocking e-mail exchanges. Apparently, Foley was also in frequent contact with a 12-year-old Netvocates employee and Sadly, No! troll named Gary Ruppert. We will reprint these e-mails for you here.

COLLEGE REPUBLICAN ALLEGEDLY BEATEN BY LIBERAL THUGS

This is disturbing.

Justin Zatkoff, the executive director of the Michigan College Republicans, was brutally beaten after leaving a party in Ann Arbor on Saturday night. The Oakland University junior from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. was rumored to be targeted by militant leftist groups. Zatkoff, pictured above, did not know his attacker, and no money was stolen.

A source close to Zatkoff reports:

Justin may have been 1. randomly attacked (but not robbed??), 2. attacked by BAMN (well known for violence andstrong in Ann Arbor), or 3. attacked by a homosexual rights group (Justin received an ‘odd/threatening’ email from a gay rights group about a day before the attack.)

The mainstream press has not picked up the story.

From today’s Ann Arbor News:

While at a party that began last Saturday night, police said Zatkoff picked a fight with some of his friends, and got punched in the eye. Police interviewed Zatkoff at a hospital the next day and he didn’t recall what happened.

People who were at the party told police Zatkoff had too much to drink, said Ann Arbor police Lt. Mike Logghe.

“We interviewed the guy who punched him,” said Logghe. “He admitted to punching him. He said he was a friend of his from high school.”

So far, no charges have been filed in the case, Logghe said.

Zatkoff is the executive director of the Michigan Federation of College Republicans. He is a student at Oakland University, and the Oakland University Chapter Chairman of the College Republicans.

A more coarse and callous observer than myself might might be tempted to note that the guy stopped short of beating the crap out of Zatkoff, because he clearly still has plenty to spare.

Darn this Internet, always messed up and in need of fixing.
