Shorter Victor Davis Hanson

What Might Have Been

  • I would have enjoyed this election a lot more if Barack Obama had just run openly as an America-hating commie. YEEEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRGH!!!!! JUST ADMIT IT, OBAMA!!!! ADMIT THAT YOU’RE A DAMN COMMIE!!!! SAY IT, YOU GODLESS COMMIE PRICK!!!!!! SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY IT!!!!!!

‘Shorter’ concept created by Daniel Davies and perfected by Elton Beard. We are aware of all Internet traditions™.

He’s got a point there.

Hasn’t he?

Hello? Is this thing on?

Well, he IS communistical. I herd this mornin Mr. Senator John McKain sayin that Oblammo is gonna tax everything in site. Do you LIEbrals have any idea of how much tax that is? That’s everything that’s visible, so throw a tarp over your house an car an health plan, cause the DEMONcraps will tax it if they can see it.

I don’t buy that graphic. Everyone knows that the hypno swirls are a unique characteristic of Obama’s powers.

and the polls were suggesting an Obama advantage, and thus a Uriah Heep-like opening to make adjustments accordingly.

He may have something here.

A view from Germany: McCain still has a chance because no state has has an Einwohnermeldeamt or citizen registration office. Require all citizens to register with their local authorities whenever they move and there will be no more worries about voter rolls, voter registration, or voter fatigue (happens after waiting 8 hours to vote). Germans register with a central office when moving to a new home and when doing so register their cars, pay taxes, and register to vote. As a result, German authorities really know how many voters there are! In contrast the state of North Dakota (3 electoral votes) has no voter registration at all, which means that whoever controls the electoral process there, typically the Secretary of State, has a good chance of determining who wins. Recently I have asked groups of Germans if they feel that their Citizen Registration office threatens their privacy or freedom. They typically respond with, “What are you talking about? Of couse not. How else can government work?”

I reject NobodySpecial’s link and put “Magician’s Birthday” on the stereo instead.

Like it or not, the voters knew what they would get. But was the opposite true?

Indeed. Would what the voters would get know them?

Here’s a great ‘Heep song about the beautiful Sarah:

Jezus…Why is it that wingtards like the philosopher Cowpaticus the Lesser and the dolt who wrote “Letter From 2012 in Obama’s America” for Dobson’s Focus on the Family are the only ones who get to argue their positions on the basis of completely batshit hypothetical horribles.

I think with McCain his conservative/centrist views and 30-year public life were pretty well known to the public. Like it or not, the voters knew what they would get. But was the opposite true?

Mr. Bomb Iran is conservative/centrist? Wheeee!!!

But to answer your question – despite the underhanded, dishonorable, ultra-smeary campaign being waged by JiSM3 and the GOP, despite that number of bigots that think Obama’s muslim – the answer is yes. Obama has been scrutinized even more than the celebrities McCain accused him of being. Since the early summer, the GOP strategy was to make this a referendum on Obama -i.e. if McCain talks about the issues, he loses. That’s what this has been – even Obama decided to play the “Referendum on Obama” game with a half hour TV special where he didn’t mention McCain’s name even once.

And guess what you stupid conservaturd? McCain still loses.

I’m rocking Demons & Wizards, m’self.

As opposed to Republicans, who will fuck it if it moves.

The fact is, deficits are better than taxes, because then nothing gets done and our children have to pay the interest. Win-win.

Psst, Gary! Put your pants back on, man!

Hello, Mr. RUGGED IN MONTANA, and welcome back, you crazy ol’ parody troll who’s actually funny you. That OTHER RiM guy, though! Man, what a dickwad.

MzNicky,

Are you accusing this one of being a RiM job?

Well, if the tongue fits…

You know if you stick a band-aid on Gavin’s pic of VHD, he would look just like Less Nessman. Brad’s Pic, not so much, but kind of.

if the tongue jacks
FYE.

Awful as it might be to get typecast like that, I still say Ed O’Neill has really let himself go.

Nothing better than another thundering parody of himself by the Sage of Fresno.

You’d be pissed too if the only academic job you could land was in godamn Fresno.

Actually, he’s now a sage at the Hoover Institute, where he ducks Sowell in the corridors because of this incident that was hushed up a few years ago:

“Dr. Sowell, this is the Stanford Campus Police. Put the bong down and come out of the building with your hands in the air”.

“No, you can’t wave them like you just don’t care.”

“No, we don’t want to buy one of your kidneys!”

If Obama would only admit that he is the anti-christ I could get on with my life.
